Ms Marcella is originally from the beautiful city of Budapest, Hungary. She auditioned at age 9 and earned entry into the prestigious University of Hungarian Dance Academy. She studied for 9 years in the Vaganova system and finished with 4.0 gpa, while earning her BA diploma in Classical Ballet with a minor in Fine Arts. She completed her thesis in dancer’s body- kinesiology.

During this time, she was part of an exchange program to the Vaganova institute in Snt Petersburg for a few weeks, and embarked on a full year scholarship to University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

At age 19 she secured her first professional work with the Hungarian National Ballet commissioned in the historic Opera house. First year she performed, Corp, Demi soloist and additional Soloist roles.

With a lifetime of experience under her fett Marcella decided to make United States home and integrated her talents withstarted Texas Ballet Theater under the leadership of Paul Mejia. She performed with the company for 8 years, performing Demi soloist, Soloist, then Principal roles, finishing her career under Ben Stevenson.

Notable roles include: Juliet from R&J, Sugarplum from the Nutcracker, Giselle from Giselle, Striper from Slaughter on 10th ave, Dark Angel from Serenade, Four last songs, First Aria from Violin Concerto, My one and only from Who Cares, Hypolita from Balanchine’s Midsummer.

Trey McIntyre has chosen Marcella as the lead in Aliss in wonderland that he choreographed and premiered atTexas Ballet Theater.

She had a documentary aired at the Hungarian National TV about her career, which debuted at the Australian Film Festival.

She toured in Japan,Israel, Germany, Australia throughout her storied career.

After her daughter Isabel was born she took a position and shared her talented experience at the Joffrey Academy in Chicago for 4 years for the preprofessional and trainee levels. She directed Illinois Ballet Academy for 7 years, as well as worked for Illinois Dance Conservatory.

She is approved by the Balanchine trust to teach certain variations in classroom settings. She is a certified PBT teacher.
